Behrens has showed in eleven solo exhibitions, including ‘Analogue Art in a Digital World’ (RMIT gallery), ‘The Thinking Image’ (Martin Browne Contemporary), ‘Re-imagining Seventeenth Century Dutch Still Life: A Transformation into Contemporary Painting (UNSW Galleries), ‘Hunting Trophy’ (Verge), ‘Double Dutch’ (Breenspace)**, ‘Standing Still’ (Gallerysmith), ‘Salad Days’ (the National Art School Gallery), ‘1’ (Rimbun Dahan Gallery, Kuala Lumper) and ‘Silent Bang’ (Ivan Doherty Gallery, Sydney).

 

Behrens has also exhibited in a number of prominent group exhibitions, such as ‘Primavera’ (Museum of Contemporary Art), the Archibald Prize and the Sulman Prize (Art Gallery of NSW), ‘EEA21’ (Museum of Modern Art, Saitama, Japan), and the Helen Lempriere Travelling Art Scholarship (Artspace, Sydney).

She has received two Australia Council for the Arts grants (2006 & 2010), and has been selected for several local and international residencies including Artspace (Sydney), Rimbun (Malaysia), Citédes arts (Paris) and PAF (St Erme).
